This song opens the EP and is a hopeful ode to the magic of human existence. Recorded by Peter Jansen with me on vocals, guitars and keyboards, Tod Hobart on drums, Chris Brunhaver on Bass and Patrick Stordahl on keyboards and guitars. Video by Greg McBrady using public domain footage.

This song alludes to the limitations of uninspected habitual behavior and the importance of following the lead of your reality. Greg and I filmed this video driving around Seattle twice on two separate days. The video itself is his creation. The song is the cornerstone of the EP for me. Recorded by Peter Jansen with me on vocals, guitars and keyboards, Tod Hobart on drums, Chris Brunhaver on Bass and Patrick Stordahl on keyboards and guitars. Video by Greg McBrady. The Belly of the Drumming

The outro of this song is probably my favorite bit of music on the entire Small Alien EP. An aside, the astronaut sections fit exactly into the song and were not edited for time. Recorded by Peter Jansen with me on vocals, guitars and keyboards, Tod Hobart on drums, Chris Brunhaver on Bass and Patrick Stordahl on keyboards and guitars. Kevin

This is a song about an experience with my dear friend Kevin. I took a little poetic license with the particular entheogen in the lyrics. My only tune with slap bass courtesy of my buddy, Chris. Recorded by Peter Jansen with me on vocals, guitars and keyboards, Tod Hobart on drums, Chris Brunhaver on Bass and Patrick Stordahl on keyboards and guitars. Video by Greg McBrady.

Holy Pilot

I flew home a day early from visiting family to play this, our highest profile show at The Crocodile in Seattle. We were the last to go on and by that time, a little too drunk. That said, we pulled off a few decent songs during the set. I can’t believe my bandmates let me wear that cowboy hat in nearly every one of our shows for years. The song features me on vocals and guitar, Duffy Delgado on lead guitar, E. Vincent Smith on keyboards and the mighty Tod Hobart on drums. Good times.

Guess He’ll Never Be An Astronaut

This deep cut from The Springs self-titled album was perhaps the most fun of all our songs to play live. The song written by Duffy Delgado features Duff on vocals and guitar, me on bass, E. Vincent Smith on guitar, keyboards and sampler and the mighty Tod Hobart on drums. Good times. Live footage is from our gig at The Crocodile and was shot by Greg McBrady. Video by Greg McBrady.
